Cookley Cricket Club
Welcome to the homepage of Cookley Cricket Club. The club was originally founded back in 1869. We play our cricket in the village near the town of Kidderminster in Worcestershire. We have a Saturday first and second team in the Worcestershire County League 3. (You can find out more about this league at their website - www.worcscl.org). We also have teams in the Wilden (Kidderminster) League on a Wednesday, and a first and second team in the Worcs/Staffs Border League on a Sunday (Divisions Two and Three).
The club is famous for winning the National Village Knockout in 1977, which was then sponsored by Haig Whiskey. The side became more or less unbeatable around that time!
